MAMOU - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Lorraine Barousse,89, announces her passing on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:31 A.M. at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old St. Ann's Cemetery with Fr. Alphonse Thainese Celebrant.
She was the Owner and Operator of Richard & Barousse Clothing Store Established in 1916 until the closing of the store in 2004.

Lorraine will be greatly missed by her son, Howard H. Barousse, Jr. and wife, Laura of Houston, Tx; two daughters, Linda B. Soileau and husband, Reginald of Mamou and Cathy Barousse Shelton of New Brunsfels, Tx; six grandchildren, Mike Soileau and wife, Jennifer, Liz Chatelain and husband, Todd, Ben Soileau and wife, Heather, Toni Schmidt, Wendy Koenig and husband, John and Philip Barousse; twelve great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Lorraine will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Howard "Dotty" Barousse, Sr. her parents, August and Amy St. Germain and one sister, Irma Kerner. They surely awaits her arrival with open arms and a joyous heart.
At the request of the Barousse family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Friday evening by Angie Granger.
