MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Lucy Nacio Fontenot, 76 announces her passing on Friday, June 27 2014 at 8:07 am at her residence in Mamou. Chapel services will be held on Sunday, June 29 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the BieberFirst Baptist Cemetery with Rev. David Plunkett officiating.
Lucy will be greatly missed by her husband of 50 years, Nolan Joseph Fontenot of Mamou one son, John Gilliot and wife, Cynthia of Mamou three brothers, Albert Nacio of LaRose, Paul Nacio of Desalmonds and Jerry Nacio of Golden Meadow two sisters, Laquisha Nacio of Las Vegas, NV, and Missy Plaisance of Golden Meadow two grandchildren, Tonja Joanidis and Dana McCoy both of Mamou. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Marcaline Crappel Nacio, one brother, Antoine Nacio and two sisters, Francis Savoie and Pauline Nacio.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at The Ardoin Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 4:00 pm until time of services on Sunday.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions to defray Funeral expenses preferred.
