LAFAYETTE It is with great sadness that the family of Mable Manuel, 92, announces her passing on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at The Church of Christ Cemetery in Mamou with Pastor Bob Zannini officiating the services.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Mable is survived by her two sons, Carrol Manuel and his wife, Lin, of Orange, Texas and Ireme Junior Manuel and his wife, Linda, of Livingston, Texas, and two daughters, Rebecca Manuel Frost and her husband, Jim, of Dayton, Texas and Ruth Manuel Simon and her husband, Enoudy John, of Lafayette. She also leaves behind a sister, Ethel Deshotel Saucier of Baton Rouge. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
She now joins in Heaven her loving parents, Alsim and Martha Deshotel, one son, Clifford Manuel and a sister, Euna Deshotel Manuel. They await her arrival with joyous hearts and open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Mamou from 9:00 AM, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 until time of services.
