Mamou ~ It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Elizabeth Deason, 88, announces her passing on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 5:10 a.m. at Savoy Care Center in Mamou.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mamou with Pastor Ervin Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ortego Cemetery in Lanse Greis.
A loving, mother, sister, grandmother great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children, Charles Kenneth Deason and wife, Kathy of California, Darryl Wayne Deason and wife, Annette of Mamou, Judy Deason Jones and husband, Eldon of Sisco,TX and Phyllis Deason Iles of Carencro; two brothers, Truman Green of Pittsburg, TX and B.F. green of Natchitoches, and one sister, Lavergne Green Gray of Bernice, La; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Deason, one grandson, Dennis Jones and one great-great granddaughter, Alivia Marie Jones.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
