MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Marie Bertrand announces her passing on Thursday, July 19, 2012 Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday July 23, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou at 2:00 pm, with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant .Burial will be in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou.

A loving, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Marie is survived by one son Mike Bertrand and wife Ana of Eunicee one brother Whitney three grandchildren, Kristiana Miller, Erick, and Michaela Bertrand three greatgrandchildren, Brooklynn, Nathan, and Miler Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin Bertrand.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 am on Sunday evening.
