Mary Ardoin

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, December 12, 2020 for Mary Nell Ardoin,83, who passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Mamou.

Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier.

Mary Nell Ardoin was born in Mamou on October 16, 1937 to Ozeme and Lilly Granger Aucoin.  She was a special lady that will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Mary is survived by two sons, Steven Ardoin and wife Dianna and David Ardoin and wife Patricia both of Mamou; five grandchildren, Benjamin Ardoin and wife, Paula, of Lakeword, TX, Naomi Fuselier and husband, Luke, of Pineville, Steven Ardoin, Jr. and wife, Tosha, of Mamou, Stacie Bass and husband, Daniel, of Pine Prairie and Ricky St Ann (Betsy Fontenot) of Pine Prairie; thirteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ozeme and Lilly Granger Aucoin; husband, Avie Ardoin; two sons, Winston "Toby" Ardoin and Wilson Joseph Ardoin; two sisters, Lillian Sonnier and Dianna Tate; and brother, Wilford Aucoin.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Visitation will resume Saturday, December 12 from 8:00 AM until time of service.  A rosary will be recited on Friday evening by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 7:00 PM.
