MAMOUA Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reeds Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon as Celebrant.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mercedes will be lovingly remembered by two daughters , Wonette Nell Cormier and husband Allen, of Mamou, La, and Stephanie Ann Doucet and friend, Patrick Clyde Guidry of Gueydan, La , one son Keith Fontenot and wife Sheila of DeQuincy, La one sister Joycelyn Reed of Lake Charles, La seven grandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren and eleven Stepgrandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She now rest in Heaven with her beloved parents, Henry and Alcina McGee and one brother and one sister
The family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday December 29, 2011 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and again Friday, December 30, 2011 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Thursday evening.
