MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Michael Blaine Fontenot, 56, announces his passing on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:30 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. A burial will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Thianese as celebrant.
A loving husband, father, brother and friend, Michael will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Valerie Douget of Mamou, daughter, Laci Landreneau and husband Aaron of Mamou, and brother, Eddie,To-To, Fontenot of Mamou.
Michael will now reunite in heaven with his parents Jeffery and Emma Lou Fontenot and his brother John Richard Fontenot. They will be awaiting his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Fontenot family, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 10 AM until 10 PM and will reopen again on Thursday, June 3, 2015 at 7 AM. A rosary will be recited in Mr. Fontenot's honor on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 5:30 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou, La.
