Mike Manuel

MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 12:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, December 21, 2019, for Mike Manuel, 69, who passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019.

Father Billy Massie, pastor at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and burial.

Burial will take place in Platin Cemetery..

Mike was a hard-working man who provided for is family.  In his leisure time he loved to bar-b-que, dance, attend auctions, garage sales, bourre’ suppers, and tailgating for LSU games. His all-time favorite pastime was watching his beloved Saints play football.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Manuel of Vidrine; three children, Shane Manuel and wife, Becky of Moss Bluff, Tori Mire & husband, Marty of New Iberia, and Casey Manuel and wife, Jennifer of Vidrine; five grandchildren, Shelbie Manuel and fiancé, Joel Aucoin, Conner Manuel, Jordyn and Bailey Mire, and Alexis Acosta; one sister, Nora Monk and husband, Freddie of Oakdale; and his fur baby, Suki.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gladney Manuel and Mary B Manuel and his step father, Vorice Manuel.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 6:00 PM until time of service on Saturday. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 7:00 PM.
