MAMOU – A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, after the recitation of the rosary at 9:45 AM, at St. Ann's Catholic Church for Mildred F Deculus “Na Nan” who passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Oaklane Rehabilitation Facility in Eunice.
Mildred was born to Duffy Fontenot and Pearl Pappion Fontenot in the Lanse Greis Community on April 10, 1941.
She entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80.
She was a retired Cafeteria Manager for Mamou Upper Elementary and enjoyed serving the youth of her community.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Shelia D Metoyer; two sons, Anthony Deculus
(Angela) and Stephens Deculus (Sherron); seven grandchildren, Ashley (Wayne),
Danielle (Alberto), Justin, Alicia, Breana, Madilyn, and Cody; four great grandchildren, Wayne Anthony, Alonzo, Brailey, and Antonio.
Mildred loved the Lord with her heart and soul and taught her children to do the same.
She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.
Mildred now joins in Heaven her husband of 52 years, Antonia Deculus; parents Duffy Fontenot and
Pearl Pappion Fontenot; sisters, Olia Sonnier and Gertrude Adams.
