MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Murphy Aucoin, 86 announces his passing on June 25, 2011 at 6:00 am at St. Francis Rehabilitation Nursing Facility in Oberlin, La. A Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum, with Father Mark Melancon Officiating.
Mr. Aucoin, a resident of Mamou, was a retired Farmer.He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphan and Celina Landreneau Aucoin two brothers,Littell Aucoin, and Kervin Aucoin one sister, Lela Fuselier. Family request that visiting hours be observed Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and again on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:00 pm.
