Mamou- A Mass of Christian Burial will l be held on Monday, January6, 2009 at 1:00 PM for Nelson OConnor, 89 at St. Anns Catholic Church , with Father Bryce Sibley officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeds Cemetery.

Nelson a resident of Mamou, died on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 3:45 PM at Savoy Medical Center.

Survivors include his two daughters, Marilyn Brignac and husband Bert of Mamou, La, and Ettie Soileauand her husband, Delbert of New Iberia, La; six grandchildren, Gary Brignac, Mark Dupuis, Rona LaBorde, Craig Brignac, Rachel Loflis, Marla Soileau, and Jason Soileau; nine great-grandchildren, Adrian Aymond, Seth Dupuis, Amy LaBorde, Jed Dupuis, Katelyn Brignac, Alyssa LaBorde, Julian Brignac, Cade Brignac, and Connor Brignac.

He was preceded in death by his wife, A.D. OConnor, one daughter, Glory Dupyis, one son-in-law, Floyd Dupuis, and one grandson, Steven Soileau.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January, 5, 2009 from 5PM until 10PM. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 8AM until time of services.

A Rosary will be recited on Sunday Evening at 7PM at Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou, La.
