MAMOUWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Norma Jo Landreneau who peacefully passed away on her 74th year with her family by her side at her home on Monday, March 07, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Rougeau Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant.
She was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. But most importantly, she was a beloved mother to two sons, William Barry Landreneau, Sr. and William Barry Landreneau, Jr. both of Mamou a daughter, Rita Gwendolyn Landreneau of Mamou and a sister to Dr. Paul Fuselier of Covington and her three grandchildren, Shelly, Kimberly, and Cody.
Now Norma Jo rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, L.C. Speedy Landreneau her parents, Willie and Dina Manuel Fuselier a brother, John Fuselier and a sister, Dale Fuselier Landreneau.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, March 9th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, March 10th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father Mark Melancon will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm Wednesday evening.
