MAMOU The family of Paul Nathan Bazar announce his passing on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 9:15 pm at Savoy Medical Center. He was 76 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2012. Interment will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant.
Nathan served on the Evangeline Parish Police Jury for three terms. A farmer of rice, soybeans and crawfish. He was a fireman for the Mamou Fire Department. He also was a TV repairman owning and operating his own business. Nathan will be loveingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Alida B. Bazar of Mamou his three sons, Jamie Bazar and wife Madeline, Stephen Bazar and TBoy Bazar and wife Laurie all of Mamou six daughters, Jeanne Dischler and husband, Karl , Jeannette Miller and husband Curt all of Eunice, Ellen Guillory and husband Paul of Westlake, Paula Berzas of Mamou, Elizabeth Kratzer and husband Richard of Beaumont, Tx, and Andrea Barnes and husband James of Mamou twentynine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Idell Bazar.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 4:00 pm until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday night.
