MAMOU-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Pearl Brothers, 87 announces her passing at her residence in Vidrine on October 3, 2016 at 3:05 p.m.
Chapel services will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou with Pastor Dean Rydbeck of Hope Presbyterian Church of Opelousas officiating.
Pearl was a long time Presbyterian Church member; received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the age of 62.
A wonderful mother, sister grandmother and friend Pearl will be greatly missed by her son, Walter L. "Sonny: Brothers, Jr and wife, Chris of Corpus Christi, Tx and one daughter, Shirley Diane Guillory and husband, Terry B. of Mamou; one brother, Norman E. Williams of Mobile, Al; three sisters, Frankie Freeman and Linda Rogers both of Hattisburg, Ms. and Jean Napp of Theodore, Al. two grandchildren, Aaron B. Brothers and Peter L. Brothers; five great-grandchildren, Drayden, Caden, Teagan, Mia and Peter Brothers.
Pearl will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Walter L. Brothers and her parents, Rosier Murry and Georgia Etta McRae. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Brothers family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral will reopen on Wednesday from 8:00 am until time of services. Graveside services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian , Mississippi.
