MAMOU - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou, Louisiana on Saturday, May 19, 2018, for Pearl Deshotel, 90, who passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas.

Deacon Gary Gaudin will conduct the funeral services.

Entombment will take place in the New St. Ann's Mausoleum in Mamou.

Pearl Deshotel was born in Mamou, Louisiana on January 7, 1928 to Alfred Augustine and Onezia Augustine. She was a nurse at Savoy Hospital. During her husband's time in the military she lived in several places including, Arizona, North Carolina, and Wichita Falls, TX but Mamou was always her home. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Weston John Deshotel; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Augustine and Onezia Augustine; two brothers, Lee and Fernest Augustine; and one sister, Camay LeBeau.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
