Mamou- A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, January 23, 2009 for Renee S. West ,50, at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou, La at 1:00p.m. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery. Father Bryce Sibley will officiate at the services.

Renee, a resident of Ville Platte, native of Mamou, and the former Renee Soileau, died on January 21, 2009 at her residence. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Renee is survived by her husband, Gorden Lee West, of Ville Platte, La; her father, Wilfred Brud Soileau and wife, Jamie Lynn Soileau; her mother, Shelbur Young Manuel, all of Mamou, La; three adopted sons, John Fontenot of Colorado, Lee Fontenot, and Shane Fontenot, both of Mamou, La; three adopted daughters, Mary, Joy, and Emmy Fontenot, all of Mamou La; three brothers, Jody Soileau and wife, Veronica of Mamou, La, Michael Soileau of Philadelphia, and Ryan Soileau and wife, Lorilee of Shreveport, La; three sisters, Rhonda Ardoin and husband, Brent, Elizabeth Mayeaux and husband, Wesley, all of Mamou, La and Tasha Sylvester and husband, Richard of Ville Platte, La; sixteen grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The Funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Thursday evening , January 22, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.
