MAMOU It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Reston Fall, 75, announces his passing on December 15, 2012 at Lafayette General Hospital. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Anns Catholic Church. Rite of committal will take place in the Reed Cemetery with Fr. Mark Melancon officiating the services.
Reston, a retired pipeline superintendent, enjoyed raising race horses, gardening, and animals. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, he will be fondly remembered by his wife Jeanita G. Fall of Mamou, four children Reston Jude Fall and wife Amy of Mamou, Paula Arnold and husband Chip of Lafayette, Brenda Smith of Eunice, and Lisa Snider and husband Dan of Opelousas, and four stepchildren Debbie Phillips and husband Charlie of Crowley, Diane Murphy and husband Brian of St. Martinville, Blaine Lacombe and wife Janelle of Egan, and Rhonda Hodge and husband Jimbo of Egan. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his brother Raylan Fall of Jennings, six sisters Helen Ardoin of Pine Prairie, Kathaleen Mire of Eunice, Mary Ann Sonnier of Eunice, Wanette Johnson of Lafayette, Jeanette Ashford of Oakdale, and Bonita Fall of Abbeville, fifteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
He now joins in heaven his parents Charles and Lydia Manuel Fall and six siblings.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 7:00 PM led by Deacon David Guillory.
