Mamou- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009, for Richard John Soileau, 64. Services will be held at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou, La at 12:00p.m.. Burial will follow in the Reeds Cemetery. Father Bryce Sibley will officiate at the services.

Richard, a native of Mamou and resident of Lafayette, died on January 15, 2009 at Magnolia Estates in Lafayette, La. Was a loving brother, brother-in-law, nephew and cousin. He loved his family and friends very much. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by one sister, Barbara Oppenheimer and husbamd, John of Lafayette; one niece, Amber Oppenheimer of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hosea and Lily Soileau, and one brother, Weldon Soileau.

Visitation will begin on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

A rosary will be recited on Friday evening , January 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
