MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Tuesday, January 02, 2018, for Roderick Gautreaux, 74, who passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Father Billy Massie, Pastor at St. Ann's Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.
Burial will take place in the New St. Ann's Cemetery in Mamou.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Pam Ricketts Gautreax; sons, James Craig Gautreaux and wife Dana of Barber Spur, Kevin Todd Gautreaux of Lafayette, and Russell Shane Gautreaux and wife Monique of Point Blue; daughters, Kimberly Gautreaux Soileau and husband Scott of Barber Spur; Rodi Lyn Gautreaux Aucoin and husband Jean Jacques of Sunset, and Nikki Gautreaux of Lake Charles; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister Bonetta Gautreaux Guidry of Elton.
Roderick is preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Modeste Fusilier Gautreaux; and son, Rocky Joseph Gautreaux.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Monday, January 1, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Aimee Soileau at 6:00 PM Monday evening. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers are Andrew Scott Gautreaux, Derrick Rocky Gautreaux, Dillon Craig Gatreaux, Yannick Blair Gautreaux, Noah Ashton Gautreaux, Hayden Scott Soileau, Emile Jean Aucoin, and Hershel Marcantel.
