MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Ronald J. Galland announces his passing on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 58. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon officiating.

Ronald was choir director and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. He worked in sales for most of his life and for the past several years worked for Bodemullers Printing in Opelousas. He loved choir, singing, working in the yard, and spending time with his family and friends which brought a great deal of joy to his life. He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his wife of seventeen years, Joan Perron Galland of Mamou mother, Dorothy Galland of Bunkie three sons, Adrian Michael Perron and wife, Mary of Carencro, Joshua Paul Galland and Cameron Bryce Galland, both of Mamou brother, Christopher Galland of Livingston sister, Loretta Galland of Seattle, WA and is also survived by several nephews and nieces. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ronald now rest in Heaven with his beloved father, Milburn Galland.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Savoy Medical Center, Savoy Cancer Center, Hospice, Dr. Brent Ardoin, Dr. John Rainey, Bodemullers Printing, and all family and friends for their continuous support during this time.
