MAMOUA wonderful, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Ronald J.Tate will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ronald, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his residence in Alexandria surrounded by his loving family. He was 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou with Father Jose A. Robles Sanchez officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum.
The things that brought Ronnie the most joy in his life were being with his family and friends.
He was a retired Air Force Master Sgt. He was a member of the American Legion in Mamou.
Ronald, leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his loving wife of 56 years, Mary N. Savant Tate of Alexandria Stepmother Carina Taunte Sue Vasseur of Mamou two sons, Anthony Brent Tate of Dry Prong, and Michael Kent Tate and wife, Shelley of Pollock two daughters, Pam Coffey and husband, Tom of Utah, and Roxanne Speer and husband, Paul, Sr. of Pennsylvania two brothers, Tommy Fuselier and wife, Barbara of Pine Prairie, and Jimmy Dugas and wife, Jackie of Fort Worth, Tx five sisters, Florence Pierrottie of Opelousas, Saundra Jones of Colorado, Glenda Harris of West Va, Sandra Tate McClelland and husband James of Franklin and Sharon Tate Berzas and husband, Larry of Mamou eight grandchildren,and five greatgrandchildren he now rests in heaven with his beloved parents, Anna Belle Fuselier and Alfred Fred Tate.
The family requests that visitation take place on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm at Ardoin Funeral Home in Mamou. Deacon Chuck Ortego will be recite a Rosary on Monday evening at 6:00 pm . The Funeral Home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday April 2, 2013 until time of services..
