MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Rovelia Paul Fontenot 74, announces his passing on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Opelousas General Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Kenneth Mayne as Celebrant.

Rovelia will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Diana Landreneau Fontenot of Beaver; one son, Lance Fontenot and wife, Candy of Orlando, FL; three sisters, Yvonne F. Duos and husband, Claude and Patricia E. Bradford and husband, Bill all of Beaver and Pamela E. Schroder and husband, Donnie of Giddings, TX. Two grandchildren, Isabella and Sophia.


He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Rovelia Fontenot and Ella "Rose" Guillory. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday morning starting at 10:30 A.M.
