Terrel Deshotel

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held at a 4:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Monday, July 25, 2022, for Terrel Wayne Deshotel, 78, who passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

A lifelong resident of Mamou, Terrel Wayne Deshotel was born on January 28, 1944, to Isom Deshotel and Bertha McCaulley Deshotel.  He worked hard as an oilfield worker for many years.  Terrel was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was devoted to his family and adored his children and grandchildren.  His family and friends will miss him dearly.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Patreace D. McGee and husband, Daryl J., Davlon Guillory and husband, Mark L., and Tiffany D. Pitre and husband, Tony G.; son, Shane Deshotel and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Heather M. Bertrand, Tyler B. McGee, Lainey G. Doucet, Kipp L. Guillory, Hunter A. Vidrine, Shelbi D. Vidrine, Macy Ortego, Luke Pitre, Ryan Deshotel, Cade T. Deshotel, greatgrandchildren, Levi Bertrand, Carter Bertrand, Hudson Bertrand, Mary Katherine McGee, John Thomas McGee, Baiya Doucet, Finley Doucet, Gates Doucet, Charlotte Guillory, Scarlett Deshotel, Dax Deshotel, Raylie Deshotel, and Miah Ortego; and sister, Bernella Meche.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Foxworth Deshotel; grandson, Chase Guillory; parents, Isom and Bertha McCaulley Deshotel; and brothers, Varence Lee Deshotel, Antney Deshotel, and  Dillard Deshotel.

The family requests that a visitation be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, July 25, 2022, beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service.
