Terry Fontenot

MAMOU – A private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 for Terry James Fontenot, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou, LA.

Terry James Fontenot was born in Mamou, LA on October 7, 1942 to Percy Fontenot and Delphia Fruge Fontenot.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and traveled the world working as a Merchant Seaman.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Manuel Fontenot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Percy Fontenot and Delphia Lafleur; his three sons, Mark Fontenot, Nicolas Fontenot, and Michael Fontenot; and two sisters, Joyce F. Reed and Rena Mae Brunet.
