MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Verdie Daugereaux, 81, announces her passing on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 7:10 p.m. at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon Celebrant. Verdie enjoyed her life, was a homemaker and took great joy in taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, and will lovingly be remembered by her two sons, L. David Daugereaux and wife, Edwina of Mamou, Dennis James Daugereaux and wife Tangee Ann of Hammond one daughter, Pat Daugereaux of Elton three grandchildren, Sadie Ann, Joseph David, and Andre Bernard Daugereaux two greatgrandchildren, Issac Joseph and Whitley Michelle Daugereaux She was preceded in death by Her husband, Joseph Bernard Daugereaux, her parents, John and Lolita Lafleur Duplechain, and one grandson, Christopher Matthew Morein.
At the request of the family visiting hours will be observed Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm. The Funeral Home will reopen at 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Sunday. .
