Mamou- Funeral services for Verna Arsenault, 79 were held on Saturday, February 17,2007 at 2:p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church, with burial in the New St. Anns Cemetery, with Father Bob Courville Officiating. Mrs. Arsenault , died on Thursday, February 15, 2007 3:40 p.m. at Savoy Medical Center following a Long illness.

Mrs. Arsenault, a resident of Mamou, is survived by a sister, Bessie Ledoux; one brother, Clifford Ardoin both of Mamou; six nephews, Wilbert Ardoin, of Ville Platte, Dr. Harold Ledoux of Lafayette, Derryl Ardoin and Cliffoord K. Ardoin, both of Mamou, Craig Ledoux of Dallas, Texas, and Donald Fontenot of Oklahoma; four nieces, Flo Manuel, Joy Suire, and Judi Stikeleather all of Baton Rouge, and Roberta Bergeron, of Eunice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Arsenault, brother, Danius Ardoin, sisters, Hazel and Aza Fontenot.

Visitation was on Friday, February, 16, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. reopened at 8:00 A.M. until time of services. A rosary was recited on Friday night at 7:00 P.M.
