MAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou for Vivian Thomas, a resident of Mamou, who passed away at the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the age of 84. Rite of Committal will follow in the Zion Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry officiating.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Vivian leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Mary Ed Finnell of Missouri City, Texas and Betty Mike Gallien of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Four sons: Terrell Theresa Thomas, JasonBrenda Thomas, Timothy Thomas all of Mamou, Louisiana and Larry Thomas of Oakland, California; Four Brothers; Lester Glenda Faye Simon and Gilbert June Kathy Simon of Lawtell, Louisiana, RaySandra Simon of Lexington, Kentucky, and Silton JoAnn Simon of Houston, Texas; Four Sisters:

Joyce Lindburg Guillory, of Mamou., Louisiana, Jerrie Seraille, Cassy LeRoy Howard and Rena Simon all of Houston, Texas.

She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren with fond memories of her.

. The family request that visitation be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, August 24, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
