MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Weber Lee Bee Deshotels, Sr. announces his passing on August 08, 2010 at the Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. He was 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Entombment will follow in the Pine Point Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry officiating.

A loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Bee will be lovingly missed by his three sons, Richard DesHotels and wife, Charlotte of Baton Rouge, Weber Lee Deshotels, Jr. of Ville Platte, and Mark Jerry Deshotels of Mamou three daughters, Margaret Smith of Denham Springs, Jency Cagle and husband, Ron of Central, and Suzanne Vidrine and husband, Benny of Mamou sister, Anna Lee Manuel of Ville Platte thirteen grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren.

He now rest in Heaven with his beloved wife, Patty Ray Demoruelle Deshotels parents, Odey and Clara Deshotels two brothers, Pershing Deshotels and Francis Deshotels one sister, Berna Mae Launey one grandson, Lance Vidrine and soninlaw, Gene Smith

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Monday evening.
