Mamou- Funeral services for Wilburn Red Martin, 84, were held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou with Father Pius Vallooran officiating. Burial followed in the New St. Anns Mausoleum.

Mr. Red, died on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 6:15 P.M. at The Ville Platte Medical Center following a short illness.

Mr. Martin, survived by his one son, Carl Martin and wife, Emmaline of Aberdeen, Scotland; two daughters, Sundra M. Deshotel and husband, Mike of Morgan City, and Cynthia Martin, and friend, Roland Guillory, of Mamou.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Augustine Martin.

Mr. Martin retired from Conco Oil Co. after 32 years: Everyone will remember Red his Elcamino driving around. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren who loved to be with him.

Visitation was on Sunday, February 18, 2007 from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. reopened an Monday February, 19, 2007 until time of services. A rosary was recited at 7:00 P.M. Sunday night.

Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
