Willand "Bill" Menier

MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Thursday, August 22, 2019 for Willand “Bill” Joseph Menier, 83, who passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.

Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.

Burial will take place in Reed Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Patrick J. Menier and wife Prudence of Coden, AL; two daughters, Eva M. Taylor and husband Richard of Shreveport and Leslie LeJeune and husband Erik of Shereveport; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Menier and wife Flo of Mamou; one step-brother, Douglas Bergeron and wife Glenda of Eunice; two step-sisters, Diana Pierroti and Alida Berzas of Mamou.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Avab Menier and Lily Landreneau Menier; wife, Marlene Martel Menier; step-mother, Effie B. Menier; and step-brother, Larry Bergeron.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
